We had almost 50 people attending our Startup Event in central Madrid on the 25th May and our speakers provided fascinating insights into the Spanish & Irish Startup environments.

Andrew Parish – View Presentation
Andrea is Director of Startup Ireland which aims to improve Ireland’s startup and scaleup environment and make it the No.1 destination for high impact startups. He is also an Inward Investment Consultant for Connect Ireland, Mentor to Enterprise Ireland and has held a range of senior positions in the technology, engineering and energy sectors as well as collaborating with various education and research organisations.
Mariano Torrecilla – View Presentation
Mariano is co-founder and Partner at Loogic Ventures, Partner at Smartmoney and founder of Linkovery. He is also a lecturer, mentor and consultant at numerous business schools and think tanks such as EOI, ESIC, ICEMD, ICADE, Founder Institute, INCIBE, Tetuan Valley, Google Launchpad, LaunchTF, Startup Weekend and Escuela Garrigues. He has held senior Sales & Marketing positions in various technology, education and investment organisations as well as running family businesses.
Emma Naismith
Emma has been based in Madrid for 16 years. She is currently involved in the establishment of an Irish social enterprise centred on disability inclusion through business leadership and she also works as an independent business development consultant representing and carrying out business development activities for Irish technology companies in Europe and Latin America
